About Me
An avid reader, D.S. White is the former proprietor of an online African-American bookstore and wholesale distributorship in New York. Unfortunately, she didn’t have a back up plan for 9/11/01. She now makes her home in Pennsylvania where she manages the community in which she lives 9-5, attends her church’s Bible school on weeknights and blogs in her spare time.
She is the divorced mother of a fabulous 26 year old who is has just begun her graduate program at NYU.
D.S. White loves traveling but most of it to date has been done within the pages of a book. While planning that mother/daughter trip in the distant future, she’s tried her hand at acting, singing, dancing, modeling, cosmetology and sales. She settled for a long term stint at a title insurance company that lasted 14 years (because she simply felt that eating was mandatory). On the side she began a gourmet carrot cake business and continued to audition for broadway and off-off Broadway shows, but alas the timing was simply just wrong.
Since the publication of her blook (book based on a blog) in 2006 she has been working on several projects:
- A Cancer Newsletter
- A revamp of her Author/Speaker site (with the help of her trusty web designer)
- A repurposing of her At the Water Cooler site.
- Building a promotional network of sites serving different audiences.
Although this site is no longer being updated, there is much food for thought contained herein. Feel free to stop by my site to read more recent works and to say, “Hello!”
